Using the site
By reading or using any page you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
What the figures are
The spot price comes from gold-api.com. Charts and history use COMEX silver and gold futures closes published through Yahoo Finance. Values on our pages are the silver content of a weight at one of those prices. The headline figure is refreshed by your browser roughly every minute for as long as a page stays open, and the site itself is rebuilt from the feeds every few hours, so any figure can be late or wrong. Treat each one as a reference and not as a quote, an offer or the only basis for a deal, and confirm a live price with whoever you are dealing with.
When a data source fails
If a feed is down we keep the last good figures with their original timestamp instead of a blank or a guess. Always read the time beside a price.
Calculator results
The calculator multiplies the weight and purity you enter by the price. We cannot weigh, test or authenticate your silver, so the result is a metal-content estimate and no more. It is neither an appraisal nor an offer, and what buyers pay will differ.
Forecasts and other people's figures
Where a page reports a forecast or a statistic from another organization, it names the source and the date, and says whether we read it on the publisher's own page. We do not forecast prices ourselves, and we do not vouch for anyone else's figures.
Not advice
These pages inform. They do not advise on money, taxes or the law, and they never tell you to buy, sell or keep anything. For your own circumstances, ask a qualified professional.
How we are paid
If you request an information kit from Augusta Precious Metals through one of our links, and later become its customer, Augusta may pay us, and you pay nothing extra. That arrangement does not change our figures, our calculators or our wording. Dealings between you and Augusta fall under Augusta's own terms, to which we are not a party. Full disclosure.
Other websites
We link to outside sources for reference. They have their own terms and policies, which we do not control.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Silver Per Ounce is not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on a figure on it.
Ownership
The writing and design belong to the site unless a page credits another source. You may quote us if you name the site and link back.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too.
